The functions of an Eligibility Technician is to perform work in determining eligibility for clients who are applying for several categorical forms of public assistance for governmental and community services and programs; and to perform work as required. This is the journey level class in the Human Services Specialist series. Upon successfully completing a formal in-house training programs and demonstrating competence in this capacity, I was promoted to Social Worker I with Child Protective Services.
