Daily Duties at Cook County Sheriff's Department:
Provided courtroom security, personal security to judges and other judicial officials operated metal detectors at the entrance of each of the courthouse facilities where many arrests are made every year of individuals attempting to bring weapons and contraband into the facilities. Further duties include patrolling and observing, in a specific area, for suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities and the questioning of suspicious or uncooperative persons.
