Daily Duties at Icap. Inc:
Reported to the managing director and fueled record derivatives desk revenues.My role allowed for risk managers to effectively hedge against short-term volatility in longer-term positions and enable position-takers to profit fully from their views. I also was involved with basis swaps. A basis swap constitutes an interest rate swap whereby there is exchange of floating rate payments in the same or different currencies. It is a vital mechanism for the management of liability exposure. I was involved in implementinga state-of the-art trading platforms built for the market by the market. Electronic tading platforms facilitated our delivery of a full suite of liquid interest rate products to the desks of our customers around the world and currently handles around $160m of transactions daily.Voted and had a say in company policy.
