Daily Duties at Ebara Technology Inc:

I arrived at Ebara at a time of great crisis in their operation at IBM in East Fishkill, NY. I was hired to facilitate the attainment of availability and profitability goals. Upon my arrival I became the leader of a group of sixteen field service engineers and twentyfour sub-contracted service technicians in the IBM 300mm wafer fab in Fishkill, NY. Responsibilities included attainment of availability, process yield, and profitability goals for the 7day/24hr maintenance organization. After being on the job for a week the customer changed there requirements. My position was changed to a Shift Manager responsible for the management of 4 field service engineers and 6 sub-contract technicians on a shift in the 300mm wafer fab at IBM in Fishkill, NY. This included all areas of personnel and project management required to facilitate attainment of equipment utilization and availability goals. Upon attainment and proven maintenance of these goals this position was deemed superfluous.
