Daily Duties at Textron Marine And Land Systems:

• Worked on Navy T-Craft Project o T-Craft is a conceptual craft (approximately 240 ft. long and 85 ft. wide), that operates as a catamaran, traveling 2500 miles at 20 knots, then transforms into a surface effect vehicle, traveling for 250 miles, at 40 knots, then transforms into an air cushion vehicle to deliver land vehicles and troops onto the beach. The project is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research. o Our Textron team and design was chosen as one of two winning designs for the T-Craft Phase III, beginning in the fall of 2010. Near to the end of FY2010, the Navy indicated that they were terminating the program due to funding issues. o Primarily worked on the design and selection of the auxiliary systems for the T-Craft, including:  fire fighting system  fresh water system  coolant system  fuel system  hydraulic system o Worked as responsible engineer for the design and development of a full scale 20 ft. long side hull model. This model included full sized hydraulic actuators, including main skirt actuator, hydraulic locking mechanisms, and skirt retrieval mechanisms. • Working on equipment specifications for mechanical equipment for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC), including air conditioning, and system fans
