Daily Duties at Genentech, Inc:

As the Principal Validation Manager was responsible for oversight and scheduling of all validation and revalidation activities for the clinical and commercial aseptic processing and packaging manufacturing areas at both corporate and CMO sites. Managed and provided mentoring and training and supported career development to a staff of 8 direct report validation engineers including writing performance reviews. Hired and managed up to 6 validation contractors as project demands required. Wrote validation master plans and master summary reports. Performed review and approval of all validation protocols and reports associated with responsible areas. Wrote and/or reviewed and approved all change controls associated with responsible areas. Was the primary point of contact for defending the validation program and presenting validation reports to auditors and inspectors during internal and external audits and regulatory inspections. Responsible for continuous process improvement to ensure continued regulatory compliance of the validation program and maximize efficiencies of resource usage in the validation and revalidation effort. Wrote the validation sections of regulatory submissions for new products and annual product reviews.
