Daily Duties at Us Army:
I have led, managed, and directed multiple teams ranging from 25 to 170 people in a variety of tasks and environments as well as time on the executive-level strategic planning staff working directly under the top General in Virginia. Most recently, I served as the Support Operations Officer in western Afghanistan responsible for supply chain management, support operations, warehouse facility management, maintenance readiness coordination, and transportation management operations in this region. I led a 25-man staff responsible for planning and assigning missions to a 300-soldier battalion after conducting the appropriate needs analysis and customer interface to develop the logistics network. Responsible for the contractor management of 8-10 government contracts while providing analysis of performance metrics (technical, cost, management) as it relates to logistics management. Planned for and coordinated the receiving, inventorying, staging, and just-in-time delivery of all supplies throughout western Afghanistan.
What they like about Us Army:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
