Daily Duties at Sutter Hospital Medical Center Sacramento:

Serve a diverse caseload including newborns,infants,children,adolescents,adults and geriatric patients. PERFORM CT, DIAGNOSTIC, AND INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES.PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY IMAGES FOR RADIOLOGIST INTERPRETATION. MAINTAIN EXCELENT LEVEL OF PATIENT CARE. Saw up to 16/17 patients per 8 hour shift for CT/Radiology. Additional responsibilities include: Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols. Implement radiation protection and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to staff and patients. Maintain mandated continuing education requirements. Operates a variety of complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment. Selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately and prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Prepares for and assists the physician in computed tomography procedures.
