Daily Duties at Microvision:
Oversaw global out sourcing operations for critical path materials and services, and local sourcing supporting product development leading to production at contract manufacturers. Managed $50M spend and all contract reviews, compliance issues, and source selection processes. Introduced best practices across purchasing functions and helped Ops Director to refine planning requirements. Managed a team directly and cross functionally to monitor supplier performance and leverage that performance on future awards reduction of high prices due to unnecessary expedites through behavior mods internally to refrain from excluding purchasing until final stages of need.
