Synthesis and self-assembly of magnetic nanoparticles and nanowires/nanorods; synthesis,characterization and processing of nanoscale rare earth based permanent magnetic materials; synthesis and characterization of exchange-coupled hard/soft nanocomposite magnet for permanent magnetic applications; magnetic field alignment of nanoparticles/nanowires/nanorods; biomedical applications of magnetic nanoscale materials; Nanoparticles surface modifications with organic/ceramic/biomaterials; bimagnetic core/shell and heterodimer nanoparticles synthesis; scale up synthesis; compaction of nanoparticles/nanocomposite to make bulk magnetic nanocomposite.
