Daily Duties at Primedia:

Editor and writer for industry-leading, monthly trade magazine targeted to artand craft-supply retailers. • Managed all freelance and contributor submissions, contracts, and payments. • Copy-edited all articles, columns, departments, and features. • Researched, developed, and wrote two to three feature articles each issue. • Led redesign to respond to changing marketplace, with emphasis on increasing profitability of title. • Attended trade shows, developed relationships with leading industry players, analyzed and reported on same with expert perspective.

Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity.
