Daily Duties at Canon Communications:

• Primary responsibility for all phases of creating industry’s oldest and most respected monthly print publication to include editing, art direction, layout, photo editing, story selection, story tracking, determining book size and ad/edit ratio, and production quality assurance. Collaborated with contributors, freelancers, production, graphic artists, and advertisers. Worldwide circulation of 60,000-plus. • Led redesign of publication following its acquisition by Canon Communications to reflect new editorial mission and market positioning. • Conceptualized, designed, and introduced new sections to prioritize content of most value to readers and advertisers. • Produced special advertising sections to include ad tracking and placement, copy editing, section design, and layout. Worked with advertisers to ensure satisfaction. • Managed production of editorial sections of the Modern Plastics Worldwide Encyclopedia, to include editing, tracking, layout, and soliciting content. • Researched, interviewed, and wrote original editorial content. • Responsible for all phases of producing the K Daily, a six-issue, 40-page, Englishlanguage trade-show daily created live onsite for the world’s largest plastics John B. Clark Page 2 3/18/11 tradeshow, to include design, layout, photography, photo editing, ad placement, preparation of print-ready pages for German printing partner, and press checks. • Collaborated with outside clients to manage custom-publishing projects, including the Society of the Plastics Industry, leading project design, scope, and execution to ensure satisfaction of all stakeholders.
