Daily Duties at Mayo Communications:

Vice President / New Business & Media Relations, 2000- today MAYO Communications, Los Angeles - Responsibilities and duties included: • Managing and developing SoCal communications and public relations program; acted as media spokesperson; researching, planning, preparing events, drafting communications programs, editing press releases and disseminating public information through company and client’s websites, social media, Online newsletters, blogs, brochures, event advertisements, company flyers, and electronic and hard copy media kits for long list of clients. Among them LAEDC, Wal-Mart and WTCA LA/LB. • Coordinate strategic media coverage through press advisories, news releases, news conferences, charity, nonprofit and corporate events. Also brainstormed with CEO’s and client representative team members to identify and score public relations opportunities. • Media training instruction and on camera media training were executed to senior managers of government and corporate clients such as LAEDC, Wal-Mart, USC, and PERI Software Solutions. • Advising and crafting messages for media outlets, and counseling staff on communications protocol with the media. Mentoring and training interns from USC, Loyola Marymount, UCLA and Pierce College in media relations and public affairs. • Supervising information programs for branding, conferences, posters, flyers, newsletter layouts, photography and managing blog content and design. • Board member of the City of LA Cable TV Content Advisory Committee; past president Entertainment Publicists Professional Society; social media moderator for film/TV workshops and board member of International Trade Education Programs.
