Daily Duties at Crew 2:
Negotiated contracts and pricing with companies like Home Depot, Home Value, Lowe’s and Nebraska Furniture Mart·Provided estimates and performed sales on projects for 17 Home Depot in 11 cities and Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City. Worked to assure that the proper quantities were placed before the product was ordered. Consulted with the retail customer’s management, to address any concerns that their customers had and would take appropriate corrective action. Performed market analysis in areas of interest to establish new branches. Acquired warehouse space and office space Setup operations such as office equipment, workstations, computers, phone systems, racking, forklift, vehicles, and utilities. Established and managed a labor force in many different phases of the remodeling market, like flooring, millwork, cabinetry, plumbing, and decks, window treatments, plumbing, Kept proper documentation of insurances and background checks keeping them current and up-to-date. Involved with weekly payroll of all subcontractors and authorized any additions or back charges. Worked directly with corporate office to establish direct pay for the subcontractors. Would sponsor clinics, training, and certifications to assure that new techniques and all installations were being properly done. Worked with our corporate lawyers on legal issues and contract concerns. Had ownership of my P&L. Established workrooms in six cities and increased profitability in others. Performed the employee hiring and dismissals of both staff and sub-contractors. Worked directly with HR to insure that the employee’s records updated and accurate. Responsible for evaluating employee job performance and handled the disciplinary actions when needed. Worked directly with HR to insure that the employee’s records updated and accurate. Responsible for accounts receivables was able to keep loses below 1.5%
