Daily Duties at Ventiv Health U.S. Sales:
Contract Ventiv Health Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Bristol-Meyer Squib Company. Attended 1 week of home study and two weeks away of disease and product knowledge training on 3 of Bristol Meyer's prescription products that included training in hypertension, antibiotic therapy, (for upper respiratory), and CNS training for generalized anxiety disorders in order to promote the 3 BMS franchise prescription products. Trained and managed directly through Ventiv Health U.S. Sales. – attended sales meetings and all sales functions as assigned by Ventiv Health. Was a part of a 12 person sales district. Worked in an assigned southwest Michigan sales territory with two other Ventiv Sales Rep employees covering the same territory. Developed a territory routing plan for all three of us where our territory could be covered within a 3 week period - where each week there were specific towns, and assigned doctors’ offices which we would call on each day. Coordinated efforts with partners so we could all work off the same routing plan so we could maximize our selling efforts and not be in the same areas as each other on a given day unless planned. Promoted BMS products to cardiologists, hospitals, and primary care physicians to attain sales goals for cardiovascular, anti-infective, and CNS products. Utilized marketing tag lines and specific BMS marketing selling messages, as well as left prescription samples at assigned doctor’s offices to promote BMS products – Coordinated same selling messages with teammates to enhance the “share of voice” and agreed upon same marketing techniques as we promoted assigned products to providers within our territory. Managed and kept track of product samples and marketing supplies as individually assigned. Was a part of a small New Product Launch for BMS in 2000, whereby they utilized Ventiv Health Contract Sales Employees in launching their combination anti-hypertensive product (Monopril-HCT). Prior to this, the Ventiv contract sales force just marketed BMS’s mono-therapy anti-hypertensive product (Monopril). Attended product/sales training meeting by BMS to prepare to promote this new product. Had small promotional budget so worked creatively in territory field with two other team members to think up creative ways to spend time with doctors as opposed to having to spend money at their practices or on them for their time - One such way this was achieved was by putting on a car wash for a large pediatricians office whereby we washed employees and medical staff's cars and left small promotional items inside them after we were through to enhance their remembering the antibiotic product we were promoting. Worked medical Fair booth with other team members were we had the opportunity to promote our products and talk with area physicians and prescribers once they were through attending various medical seminars.
What they like about Ventiv Health U.S. Sales:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
