Manage daily operations of utilization management department and supervise the department staff; perform reviews for skilled nursing facility admissions. Manage daily operation of office during regional director's absence Complete performance evaluations and time and attendance records Monitor daily reports and implement interventions as needed Participate in special projects Attend inpatient rounds and assist with discharge planning Participate in financial and management meetings and teleconferences Coordinate CEU in-services and/or vendor presentations Coordinate and participate in on-site visits with providers to address problems and/or discuss operations to maintain a positive professional relationship Perform duties related to the hiring of new employees Perform HIPAA audits
