Daily Duties at United Healthcare:

• Responsible for the collection of $70,000,000 monthly • Supervised 8 Billing Coordinators and 4 Phone Reps from inbound call center • Monitored call volume and organized schedules for Billing Coordinators to take overflow calls during busy times. • Prepare end of the month Accounts Receivable Report • Construct and implement plans to make the department run more efficiently • Work with sales personnel to provide customer service to our groups • Hiring and training of personnel • Evaluated employee performance providing counseling as needed Supervisor, Payroll • Prepare/Review various reports to ensure accuracy of payroll • Prepare/Post monthly payroll journal entry to Oracle Financials • Reconcile payroll transactions to ensure accurate flow of data to corporate cash accounts • Prepare various work papers & schedules supporting monthly payroll activity posted to GL • Supervised 4 employees and oversaw the day to day operations of the payroll department which included processing of direct deposits, garnishments, new hires/terminations, ensure accurate leave balances, ensure accuracy of labor reporting (exempt v. non-exempt employees), uploading of timesheets into a source 500 payroll batch, ensure the accuracy of payroll deductions and taxes, processing of stock options that had been exercised • Transmitted payroll files to Ceridian and downloaded the files from Ceridian once they had been processed • Downloaded various reports from Crystal Reports into Excel to review the payroll data base for accuracy • Gave presentation at new hire orientations about payroll policies and procedures as well as labor laws
