Daily Duties at Touchstone Health:

 Process and reconciles payroll schedule for ADP reports ($11 million annually).  Resolves, manages and troubleshoots issues with installing modules for statutory filing application.  Creates journal entry templates to record daily cash receipts in several categories ($50k per month).  Manages and maintains FAS (Fixed Asset Software) and application for Fixed Assets, Accumulate Depreciations, and related Depreciation expenses.  Reconciles account analysis and provides explanation of variances between Budgets vs. Actual by generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external use.  Reconciles and generates commission bonuses for 30+ Sales Executives on a quarterly basis ($1.4 million annually).  Analyzes bank reconciliations for 21 accounts and reconciles intercompany general ledger accounts.  Manages and organizes the entire statutory filing process on schedule, including reconciling statutory related general ledger accounts, prepares and completes financial statements and statutory schedules, runs crosschecks in applications, and files statutory report electronically to State department.  Reconciles accrued rent payables expense accounts ($550k) and reconciles prepaid expense account ($775K).  Assists in the Annual Budget preparation process by providing support summaries and monthly journal entries for the consolidated monthly close process for four (4) LOB’s (lines of business).  Prepares ad hoc internal analytical reports for use by management and other department heads.  Coordinates information and support to external auditors during year-end close.  Manages journal entry listing to ensure all monthly journal entries are accounted for. Resolves issues regarding FAS application (Sage FAS100), and reconciles and records depreciation expenses to GL ($7.8 million). Coordinates and manages department’s month-end cycle in 10 days for soft close and 5 days for second close.  Prepares financial statements both GAAP and Statutory reports. Managed the quarterly and annually statutory filing process and resolved any issues or inquiries from the State Insurance Dept.  Coordinates with Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer to achieve financial objectives and assists in the development and implementation of improvements for the financial reporting responsibilities.
