Implementation of best practices to insure seamless operations within the department and with cross functional teams and management. • Negotiated just-in-time delivery, savings to BP Amoco of $2.9 M, managed multi function technical teams evaluating US market for single source for purchase and repair of electric motors, and negotiated supplier warehousing and just in time delivery, reducing inventory 26%. Reduction of meantime between motor failures from 6.3 to 20.9 months substantially improved plant downtime and electrical motor repair rate.
