Daily Duties at Village Of Lisle:

• Lead budgeting, planning and implementation of all hardware and software needs the Village Hall, the Police Department and the Public Works department; infrastructure includes 90 desktops, 7 Windows Servers, 4 Debian Linux servers, 5 laptops & 24 Tough books. • Manage, train and mentor team of MIS Technicians. • Engage with unit heads to determine and implement technology needs; oversee $400k+ budget. • Ensure the confidentiality of resources using role based permissions, encryption of files and network traffic when necessary, and network segmentation • Maintain data integrity through the use of backups, system imaging, and training users in document retention policies • Perform account maintenance procedures including: creating, disabling and archiving; assigning group membership, ACLs, and audits of the same • Configuration and hardening of host and gateway firewalls. • Audit servers, software and services to ensure that they conform with policy or best practices
