Daily Duties at Us Department Of Transportation:
I worked as a federal employee for the US dept. of transportation in charge of managing the accounts of the transit benefits for the House of Representatives and library of congress. It was a new program established by the federal government to reduce pollution and congestion in major cities all over the country. Employees received cash subsidies to use public transportation (in the form of fare media). Work included the collection of the data regarding their personal information as well as their transit needs. The data was then entered into an online automated system to maintain easy access, good records and accounting. Fare media is considered as good as cash, therefore daily and monthly reconciliations reports had to be done. Online accounting and billing were processed. Supervising and training employees to carefully input the data in the system and how to use the automated system in their distribution of the fare media. Planning, coordinating and organizing the distribution of the fare media to reach the right offices on the right days and times and safely. Due to family reasons, I found myself in a position to have to move my work closer to home. That was the reason I went back to work in the real estate industry.
