Daily Duties at Sempra Energy Trading:
Oversaw all full lifecycle operations for Natural Gas, Power & Emissions groups for North America. Led a team of 26 operations and 8 IT employees. Performed physical position balancing and pipeline/storage reconciliation for natural gas operations. Developed and implemented strategies for the enterprise-wide cash management function, structured transaction, and settlement/reconciliation for all financial and physical transactions totaling approximately 4500 per day. Led project design and implementation of strategies that improved processes and efficiencies. Collaborated with auditors on all internal and external functional requests and ensured governmental and regulatory compliance for gas and power. Spearheaded assessment and entry of structured transactions and new business in collaboration with the trading desks. Negotiated values and favorable agreements.
