Daily Duties at Chemtura Corporation:

Report Out: I review daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly sales & profit to financial and production forecast and report gaps and gap plan. Gap Planning: I managed the opportunity pipeline for additional sales / profit to cover quarterly gaps for my or other operating business units. I represented the mass market division to management team on when to take opportunities. Account Management: I worked with account managers to insure customer operating goals are met, and upcoming initiatives are incorporated into our strategic planning. Customer Relations: I met with or contacted by phone our 80/20 customers to insure they understood there business was being managed at the highest levels of the company and to report issues to them that might be in the form of an opportunity or an issue prohibitive to reaching their goals. Strategic Planning: I daily with marketing and product development to insure line of site between customer and company initiatives. I Co-wrote annual 5-year strategic plans and bridges to future performance metrics. Attended industry trade shows in order to insure any new products were sourced and researched in accordance with keeping our customers in-trend. Field Operations: I traveled weekly to major markets stay abreast of our businesses “as they happen”. In doing so I coached account & regional managers on safety and storage initiatives, packaging changes, process improvement. I also used every travel day as an opportunity to meet with key field executives, regional VP’s, garden captains, buyers, and merchandise managers. As part of my routine I reviewed all competitor activities and in-store merchandising services to line up with strategic planning. Operational Planning / Cost Containment: Weekly review of production plan to move / sell obsolete and slow moving goods for maximum profit vs. liquidation. Weekly reviewed selling expenses and cost to service expenditures and incorporated any opportunities to save or needs to spend in Gap Planning.
