Daily Duties at Glendale Police Department:

November 1979 through July 22, 2004 Glendale Police Department 6835 N. 57th Avenue Glendale, Arizona 85301 Jun-03-Sept 03 Acting Patrol Commander-Responsible for all day to day activities of the Patrol Division. Reported to the Chief of Police, City Manager, Mayor and City Council. Worked this position while the Commander was out of town. Jul 02-Jul-04 Lieutenant West and Central Sectors/Motor Lieutenant-Reported to the Bureau Commander and Chief of Police. Responsible for neighborhood issues, Community Oriented Policing, Weed and Seed, Community Grants, meeting with neighborhoods and HOA’s. July 01-July-02 Lieutenant Special Investigations Unit Lieutenant over Special Investigations and Narcotics. Responsible for two special units. One squad is the Selective Enforcement Unit and they work primarily property crimes, stolen cars, chop shops, felony apprehension and street crimes. The second unit is the Narcotics Enforcement Team. This unit works mostly narcotics and vice issues. June 00-July 01 Patrol Lieutenant Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of professional, community based, problem oriented police services. Interact with assigned first-line supervisors and employees while maintaining regular contact with peers throughout the department. Nov-1979-Jun-00 Police Officer/Sergeant Worked as a police officer, detective, undercover narcotic officer, patrol sergeant, hiring and training sergeant and accreditation sergeant. Worked traffic accidents as required, DUI enforcement.
