Daily Duties at High Tech Institute:

As an clinical instructor, it was my responsibility to ensure that the students performed routine diagnostic imaging procedures according to departmental protocol, policy and procedures, that they established standards of practice, operated radiographic equipment, developed film, prepared room, equipment, supplies and medications, that the students provided patient care services utilizing general and specialized imaging modalities under the direction of a physician but not requiring constant technical supervision, that they provided radiology services to patients of all ages, that they applied ionizing radiation in the performance of a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis, ensuring that the students were responsible for patient care safety, making sure they assisted physicians in the performance of procedures and the administration of contrast media, to guarantee that the students assumed responsibility for designated procedures and equipment, and lastly; ensuring that the students participated in orientation of Radiology Department staff and worked cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional Radiological Technologist practice in the clinical setting.
