Daily Duties at Pfizer, Incorporated:
I was a Senior Scientist in the division of metabolic diseases. I supervised several laboratory scientists and technicians involved in evaluating the efficacy and safety of compounds in the H2-antagonist, beta-blocker and NSAID drug development areas. I was responsible for the integrity of the various assay systems, data collection and interpretation, and writing report summaries. I investigated new assay systems (both in vitro and animal), and provided information and recommendations to management regarding new drug discovery areas (e.g., HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, fibric acid derivatives, proton pump inhibitors).
