Daily Duties at Babcock And Brown:
•Scheduling production, outages, and curtailments with power purchasers, utility personnel, and system operators •Adjusting power output of wind farms •Monitoring and operating 1,000+ wind turbines via SCADA to ensure compliance with safe operations, electrical system procedures, power sales requirements, contractual obligations, and business unit objectives •Remotely operating wind turbines as required by field technicians for maintenance •Analyzing real-time data to ensure data collected accurately reflects site conditions •Creating and streamlining policies and procedures of the Operations Department •Building and maintaining relationships with third-parties to maximize operational strategies •Collaborating with power purchasers, scheduling entities, system operators, and facility technicians to maximize profits and plant performance •Preparing production/financial reports for management/analysts to track operating performance against manufacture’s warranty guarantees
