Daily Duties at Ryt Way Industries:

Performs machine maintenance in a fast paced contract packaging environment including regular maintenance and emergency repairs. Experience with vertical form-fill-seal, pick and place, cartoning, coding , case packing and wrapping equipment. Experience with wrapper applications including installation, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting. maintains vertical and horizontal form-fill-seal equipment, cartoners, friction feeders, scales, shrink tunnels, case packers and related equipment. Utilizes various types of films and foils including recloseable zippers. Writes process instructions. Assists engineering in design decisions and component selection. Completes prototypical builds of new designs and implements assigned R&D protocols. Applies knowledge of vacuum applications daily. Recommendations are expected regarding project implementation. Ability to read prints and apply specifications. Wires components during assembly from board level utilizing wiring diagrams and ladder logic. Diagnoses system faults utilizing general and specific troubleshooting protocols. Experience with Allen-Bradley and Omron PLC / HMI programming and PC based controls. Utilizes various types of sensors depending on application. familiar with the installation, operation and troubleshooting of servo motors, VFDs and related components. Trains operators and junior mechanics on areas of expertise. Organizes task assignments, work schedules and performs duties of assistant chief mechanic for second shift.
