Daily Duties at At&T:
Tested DS0, T1, and T3 circuits using test sets at the Network Interface Unit (NIU) within the Radio Access Network (RAN) Engaged Net Analyst software to test circuits remotely with CLEC ‘s when applicable. Accessed the Base Station Controller (BSC) and Radio Network Controller (RNC) to troubleshoot hardware and software related alarms. Restored Alcatel Lucent (ALU) microwave hops. Prepared Cat5 jumper cables with RJ 45 connectors; punched down 25 pair cable onto 66 blocks and Wired Wrapped DSX panels by the industry color code; used Anritsu test to isolate faults on antenna lines. Engaged vendor specific laptop applications at the Cell Site to Install, configure, and maintain Ericsson, Nokia GSM (Global Systems for Mobile) BTS and lucent 3G UMTS Node B equipment. Inspected contractor installations and modifications on site to ensure work was completed to Radio Frequency Engineer specifications; assisted other Wireless Technicians in resolving trouble tickets issued by Netcool. Enhanced MS Word and MS Excel abilities; Advanced to Wireless Technician II
