Daily Duties at Battelle Memorial Institute:

Led a team of chemical technicians measuring air quality during disposal of chemical weapons at the Anniston Army Depot. Reviewed contract scope, designed changes in sampling and analysis protocols, directed daily sample collection and analysis activities and coordinated with other shift supervisors. Additionally, delegate and manage task assignments for the analytical staff, prepare performance documentations and appraisals to include quarterly and annual reviews, as well as conduct and document disciplinary actions as necessary. Worked with other team leaders to develop safe and reliable methods required in protecting the atmosphere during the disposal of U.S. Military stockpiles of chemical warfare agents. Wrote non-standard test protocols for non-routine assignments, arranged management approval, collected samples, analyzed data, revised test protocols, submitted results to Quality department, and received approvals to run a baseline. Received, set up, maintained, troubleshoot and repaired analytical laboratory equipment to include gas chromatographs with FID, FPD, ECD, and MSD detectors. Reviewed, logged, and received samples utilizing HORIZON LIMS system
