Daily Duties at Nachi America Inc:
Analyze inventory, sales history, and production plans to determine and negotiate proper placement and delivery to maintain contracted and division planned inventory levels at multiple locations. +$30M annual spend. Communicate with Japan on pricing and delivery issues. Coordinate all activities involved with procuring goods. Managed ISO 9000 approved supplier evaluations. Analyze/execute materials requirement planning (MRP) Conduct/oversee negotiations Coordinate among cross functional groups Develop/manage supplier relationships Ensure availability of materials/products Implement cost reduction strategies Negotiate contracts/purchase terms Perform spreadsheet analysis Plan/forecast for multiple facilities Procurement Process/Life Cycle: Create requisitions + Evaluate proposals + Generate RFI/RFP/RFQs Quotations Specialist
