Daily Duties at Louisiana Governor's Office Of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness:
Provide GIS Mapping support such as creating maps, shapefiles for State using ArcGIS (ArcInfo, ArcServer, Image Server, ArcCatalog) software. This includes the digitizing of paper maps including parcels, lines, and points and the addition of metadata. Sole administrator of ArcGIS Server/ADF Web Application in a .NET environment for agency. Manage all data for server in ArcSDE environment. Collect geospatial data in the field using Trimble Yuma and post process using Pathfinder software. Manage and maintain this data in Geodatabases Member of the mobile command post team which is a mobile unit that is deployed during emergencies. Responsible for the intelligence gathering and GIS. (Geographic Information Systems) Responsible for Hazard Modeling for exercises and real world scenarios. Included the review, analyzing and presentation of outputs. Manage 3 GIS Interns and all maintenance for licensing for GIS software for agency. Update and edit the entire Virtual Louisiana Globe including data (.shp, .kmz, network links) and imagery (.tif, .sid). Using Google Fusion Server.
