Daily Duties at Mactec:

Acted as field site coordinator on federal source removal remediation projects in New York State; duties included supervising subcontractors, coordinating soil sampling activities; acting as a liaison between management, client, regulatory authorities, and subcontractors; and preparing reports. Supported CERCLA reports for enacting remedial actions at Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant (Chattanooga, TN) and participated in field efforts, including monitoring well installation, sampling, water level gauging, slug testing, IDW sampling and disposal, and analyzing and interpreting slug test data. Handled leadership duties including assisting with pre-project planning (cost estimates and scheduling); implementing health and safety plan; and acting as coordinator between subcontractors, client, and facility. Contributed to the team receiving recognition by the CEO for exemplary client satisfaction and meeting project schedule and budget restraints on the project. Performed extensive work on commercial projects, including coordinating and executing groundwater sampling activities for concurrent remediation projects; managing databases of analytical data (using Excel and Access); generating various reports for clients and state regulatory authorities; interpreting and presenting geological and chemical data using Surfer mapping software; and developing schedules, cost estimates, bid solicitations, and scope of work documents.
