Daily Duties at Chase Manhattan Mortgage:
Primary responsibilities were to lead and coach the sales and operational staff in achieving the stated mortgage production goals. Ensure that team has an adequate understanding of the company’s policies and procedures, the secondary market underwriting guidelines as well as all industry compliance and regulatory requirements. Assist sales staff in identifying new prospecting opportunities through clearly defined calling strategies with external prospects like Realtors, builders, developers and ''high value'' centers of influence i.e., insurance agents, accountants, dentists, physicians, attorneys, etc. and, through internal prospecting with the retail branches and other line of business partners which serve our current clients. Maintain positive working relationship with senior management and communicate efforts, results and concerns on a monthly basis. Identified and worked with local community groups to encourage home ownership through education and with the various state and government loan programs available to low to moderate borrowers. Worked directly with Community Development Officer in the development and implementation of loan programs to attract new clients to the bank to meet the bank's CRA requirements.
