Daily Duties at Boeing:
While serving as a NASA Board Approved Avionics Software Requirements Analyst for Displays and Controls, within the BFS Requirements Team, created, reviewed, analyzed, and controlled software requirements changes from customer inputs, and actively participated in many cross-functional technical peer review team meetings and Change Control Boards (CCBs), reviewing many artifacts and documents from requirements to testing reports (full life-cycle). I earned a reputation for finding subtle but critical flaws no one else found. To support the current culture, I implemented CMMI and Lean + by periodically reviewing, streamlining, and improving forms, checklists, and work procedures documented in the Standard Software Procedure Manual. I also trained in and participated in a CMMI Assessment process. To prepare for future projects, I trained in and used DOORS, and Rhapsody/UML, and took Boeing’s Writing Good Requirements course. Actively participated in the network-centric operations (NCO) software technology process action team, studying Future Combat System’s (FCS) System of System Common Operating Environment (SoSCOE) architecture.
What they like about Boeing:
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
