Daily Duties at Prevue Networks, Inc. / Tv Guide, Inc.:
Started with the company when it was a start up Feburary of 1988 launching The Prevue Channel as an account manager in sales. I was promoted everyother year for over eleven years and left the company in April 1999 as VP of Sales, Northeast region. Over eleven years I specifically was responsible for sales revenue in the Northeast region and Canada for about six years. I then was promoted to Dir. of National Accounts and responsible for contract negotiations and sales revenue with top cable operators like Comcast, at the time. Then as VP of Sales I was responsible for managing seven executives, all sales revenue out of the Northeast and contract renewals. Also, since it was a small company for a long time sales was new business development. We did not have a seperate new business development department. Specific, not involved a lot of marketing but all the sales executive were the new business development and product team.
