Served as hands-on associate for 11 attorney firm specializing in insurance coverage defense, with responsibility for advising clients on all aspects of commercial insurance coverage, defending against equitable contribution claims and actions for bad faith, and bringing actions for declaratory relief. Handled all pre-trial litigation duties, including many cases designated as Complex Civil, including drafting of pleadings and responses, discovery and related motions, document analysis, depositions, and retention and preparation of expert witnesses. Analyzed insurance coverage questions and prepared coverage opinions for dozens of diverse matters, ranging from landlord-tenant disputes to toxic tort actions to construction defect litigation. Represented both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous automobile accident matters. Trained several new associates in principles of insurance coverage law.
