Daily Duties at Chicago Sun Times:
• Oversaw a staff of 9 with revenues of over $150,000,000. • Responsible for all cash received for five companies, dispersing deposits to all correct GL accounts. Including all check, cash, credit card and wire payments. Was also responsible for balancing all credit card payments, as well as balancing the credit card deposits and GL. • Made sure all customer payments were posted to AR to ensure correct customer billing information for both circulation and advertising customers. • Responsible for all cash application corrections, i.e. customer has two accounts, cash was applied to incorrect active account. Also made sure AR systems were correct after negotiations with Escheat payments. • Moved all Lockbox payments from two banks to one. Oversaw uploading customer payments from these lockboxes to customer accounts.
