Daily Duties at Hughes Aircraft Company:
Spin-off of new business subsidiary, Hughes Training, Incorporated. Encompassed acquisition of Honeywell (West Covina, CA. & Herndon, VA.), Link Flight Simulation (Binghamton, NY and Houston, TX.) and Rediffusion Flight Simulation (Arlington, TX. & London, England). Functioned as consolidation Team Leader. Transitioned the supply chain organizations from California and New York to Dallas, TX. In 1993. Developed & wrote all Procurement policies, procedures, work instructions and developed and implemented all training for new business. Re-located and/or hired all supply chain staff and managers. Relocated to the D/FW Metroplex in 1993. Proposal team leader and lead negotiator. Managed the contracts/subcontracts and logistics leads on capture teams. Supervised Contracts/Subcontract Administration Team with full budget accountability. Negotiated teaming agreements and strategic alliances with major subcontractors. Also functioned as the Supply Chain Compliance Officer for all ISO 9000 and government related Procurement audits: CPSR, Terminations, Business Metrics, Material Management and Accounting System Reviews, and Defective Pricing.
