Daily Duties at Computer Sciences Corporation:

Implemented a network management system (NMS) program addressing stabilization, pro-active network troubleshooting/monitoring and WAN network management on Nextel’s nationwide Cisco IGX ATM backbone network topology. Directly managed all aspects of this contract including vendor contracts, and budgetary responsibilities. Responsible for providing technical and managerial leadership as well as directing the re-engineering of Nextel’s NMS Network Operations Center (NOC) operations and in-house OSS definition. Managed General Dynamic’s Electric Boat telecommunication network (large-scale national topology) and Data Center connectivity in Groton, Connecticut. A heterogeneous composition of Nortel/Bay networking devices (LAN/WAN) on an ATM backbone with SNA gateway connectivity to legacy IBM main frames. Work force composition: 30 plus various technical professionals with two direct reports.
