Daily Duties at Discovery Communications:
Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Worked projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaced with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defined project scope and objectives. Managed a matrix group of engineers, analysts, technicians, and project engineers assigned for the duration of a project. Used skills to contribute to development or organizational objectives and principles, and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Developed detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducted project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Managed the integration of vendor tasks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provided technical and analytical guidance to project team. Conducted larger scale server migrations from a cluster environment to a mid-range virtual server farm environment. Managed the implementation of the DR/COOP technical infrastructure between the operational data center and the DR/COOP data center.
