Daily Duties at Era Living, Llc:
Managed multiple "hospitality" quality construction renovation projects in 2008 totaling approximately $5 mil. All materials used were required to withstand very heavy use in a senior housing environment. Successfully kept extensive residential unit upgrades, including new cabinet package, granite countertops, new carpet, and light fixtures, to be completed within a 30-day window of vacancy. In a typical month, we completed the upgrades on the average of seven (7) units in 6 weeks beginning from the previous residents’ 20-day notification. Owner required many products installed to be self-purchased to manage costs. Implemented internal processes and procedures for tracking projects, procurement schedules, furniture delivery and installations, project requests, statuses, and budgets. Coordinated modifications in every independent living unit and built required common areas of the 244 unit Ida Culver House Broadview Community according to Dept of Social and Health Services standards for assisted living. Era Living wanted to allow their residents to age in place within their community. Responsibilities included coordination of city officials, state and local fire department inspectors and DSHS Licensing surveyors for final approvals. Process took six (6) months. Initiated “Best Practices” methods in a re-siding project budgeted at $1.2 mil. Approved use of “Hardi” products and water- resistant installation methods to prolong life of siding life. Use of alternate methods and materials from original scope reduced cost by 19%.
