Daily Duties at Department Of Transportation:

Perform Information System Security, Intrusion and protections of information facilities for Department of Transportation, report to the Director office of Information Technology. Major Duties: Server as project leader for IT applications such as database development/ administration and wed design/development. Develop and implements draft policies and procedures, as directed by the Director office of Information Technology, to facilitate the effective and efficient operations of information technology initiatives and programs within RITA. Keeps abreast of Federal and Department information technology directives (such as Clinger-Cohen, the Federal information Technology Reform Act, act.) as they are related to the information technology program within RITA. Represents RITA on department task forces and Advisory committees. Evaluates information Technology hardware, software and other resources for and makes recommendations for potential acquisition by RITA; keeps abreast of the latest information technology advances, and uses creativity and insight to determine their applicability to the RITA Information Technology environment. Acts as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) on contracts in support of information technology and related efforts. In this regard, the incumbent develops, for review and approval, draft project plans and statements of work,
