Daily Duties at Southwire/American Insulated Wire:
Responsible for all plant level accounting functions including monthly general ledger close, physical inventory, financial results analysis, and annual budgeting. Responsible for the capital project life cycle and maintenance of fixed asset database. Prepares weekly plant spending reports by general ledger account number for comparison to annual budget. Resolves payment issues with vendors through contact with our Corporate A/P department. Prepares daily product scrap report by department to analyze the source of approximately 1 million dollars worth of scrap on a monthly basis.
