Daily Duties at General Electric Company, Quantum Magnetics, Inc.:
- Manage the accounting/finance team responsible for month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting for a business that is a government contractor and subject to government contracting procedures. - Preparation of journal entries, intercompany eliminations, account reconciliations and financial analysis - Oversight of monthly/quarterly financial reporting including variance analysis and reporting to Homeland Protection corporate - Responsible for compliance and controls related to all accounting functions - Interaction with DCAA, local CPA representatives and corporate auditors in the various government contractor and financial audits - Responsible for government labor and burden rate calculations and analysis, including annual submission of the Incurred Cost Proposal (ICP) - Assist with troubleshooting/set-up of Deltek CostPoint ERP system - Assist with other finance/operations related projects as necessary and work cross-functionally with contracts, and science/engineer staff
