Daily Duties at General Electric Company, Homeland Protection Business Unit:
- Establish and mentor processes and controls necessary to comply with all government regulations and procedures related to business cost practices - Interpret and maintain current knowledge of government cost regulations and requirements including FAR, CAS and TINA - Review all government accounting related contract clauses for new and proposed contracts and ensure company can comply. - Prepare, submit and assist in negotiating direct and indirect cost rates applicable to government contracts and business activities. - Prepare and maintain company disclosure statements regarding cost practice policies. - Cultivate and maintain constructive relationships with government administrative contracting officers, auditors and representatives. - Provide advice and counsel in areas of government accounting and related company accounting principles, policies and procedures to those functions responsible for government contracts, proposals, billing and cost collection as well as broader business to ensure understanding of government compliance requirements
