Daily Duties at U.S. Navy:

As a Radioman, at varied levels, I ensured the proper handling of Naval Messages. This involved making sure that messages were properly drafted, transmitted, routed, and handled in an appropriate manner. A Radioman was also tasked with working with transmission equipment, so that messages could be sent and received in a timely manner. This meant being familiar with equipment involved in the receive/send of all transmitters, receivers (HF and Satellite), antennas, and message processing equipment. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
