•Fine-tuned and managed ongoing administration of secure enterprise voice/data/application infrastructure including servers, workstations, databases, storage, switches and routers using industry standards. •Managed $1.7 million budget and team of 7 providing day-to-day infrastructure support. •Evaluated, negotiated, and managed vendor hardware/software contracts (RFIs, RFPs, etc.). •Collaborated with technical support, developers, data services, and infrastructure teams as well as key business users to identify requirements and implement creative solutions. •Assessed potential impact of emerging technologies relative to strategic business needs and recommended use in company’s current and future plans. •Planned, designed, and implemented networked systems, including configuration, troubleshooting and high-level technical support for LAN/WAN. •Maintain internet performance and security utilizing Bluecoat Web Filtering software. •Analyzed network performance and reliability and recommended solutions. •Installed, tested, maintained and troubleshot network devices (routers, switches, hubs, etc.). •Provided technical assistance to IT staff, departments, and junior engineers. •Contribute to and make recommendations for Compliance and Control processes for SOX, ITIL/Cobit, and Business Continuity Planning. •Created and established true networking environment by designing and implementing Windows O/S environment, Microsoft Active Directoy, Microsoft Exchange email, antivirus software, tape backups, print and fax servers. •Worked with current IT staff and other departmental managers to develop project scope, cost estimation, justification and financial analysis in desktop deployment. •IT strategy to deploy users desktop which replaced AS/400 terminals. This established greater proficiency for the end users. Upon completion 885 pc’s had been deployed. •Trained end users in a class room type environment on Windows desktops and key applications to perform job functions. •Enabled 1st-time desktop management and server management across multiple operating systems and network infrastructures by introducing LANdesk system. •Established new IT policies, which defined acceptable use of IT assets within the company.
