Managed internal reporting for 2,300 US Kmart stores. Responsible for monthly and year-end close, internal and external reporting, inventory analysis, general ledger maintenance and special projects. Managed a staff of 13 people.Responsible for completing the annual report and all SEC reporting requirements, special filings and supplemental data. Duties included internal reporting to directors and executive management. Responsible for LIFO inventory calculation, lease accounting, workers’ compensation analysis, public liability analysis, benefit plan reporting, financial planning, equity accounting, acquisitions analysis, consolidation of foreign subsidiaries and foreign exchange.
