Daily Duties at Anthology Solutions:
Led NAS Storage Server engineering in all hardware, systems software and application development, with teams in California and India. Established the software life cycle, standard source control processes, and software configuration management (SCM) system. Integrated Open Source Software (OSS) and spearheaded key storage features, including Disk Scrubbing technology and “Rapid Ready Start-up” for consumer ease of use. Led the creation of an intuitive, non-technical user interface as well as a web based application for management, capture, and storage of aggregated content on the Yellow Machine. Drove offshore engineering, which resulted in the establishment of the Systems SW India Development Center in Pune, and the Applications SW India Development Center in Bangalore. Reduced the cost of goods sold and time-to-market for new products (from 6-9 months down to 3-4 months) by driving the transition to an ODM approach using standard off-the-shelf hardware components. Focusing internal dev on ease of use, system apps and pre-loaded Web Apps.
